At a time when Czech and Slovak industries are facing critical shortages of skilled workers, SYNERGIE has come up with an innovative solution that goes beyond standard practices and brings real added value to our clients. Our regular recruitment trips abroad represent a unique approach that combines personal contact and thorough skill testing. In this way, we ensure not only quantity but also quality of new employees.

Why foreign countries?

Recruitment abroad (namely from countries such as India, Nepal, the Philippines, and countries of the former Soviet Union) has become a key source of motivated and capable workers, especially for the automotive and manufacturing sectors. This choice is no accident – the foreign labour market hides a huge potential that we decided to exploit for the benefit of our clients,” explains Jakub Sedláček, Staffing Director of CZ&SK.

Michal Červinka, one of our experienced consultants who has personally participated in recruitment trips, adds: “I’ve seen large numbers of enthusiastic and aspiring applicants. You basically never see this kind of thing in the Czech Republic or Slovakia with local people.”

Workers from the above countries stand out not only for their expertise, but also for their strong work ethic and willingness to learn new things. These qualities are crucial for successful integration into the European working environment and long-term satisfaction for both employees and employers.

A personal approach as the basis for success

Unlike many competing agencies that rely on local suppliers, SYNERGIE sends its own teams directly to the target recruitment countries. This approach allows us to have full control over the recruitment process from start to finish. Our consultants themselves conduct face-to-face or online interviews with each candidate, giving us a unique opportunity to thoroughly assess their skills, motivation, and potential for work in the Czech Republic or Slovakia.

Michal Červinka emphasises the importance of this approach: “We can offer our business partners what many other recruitment companies cannot or are simply unwilling to. That is, the fact that we ourselves recruit in the given country. Many competing agencies rely on their suppliers and the reality is often that while people arrive in the required numbers, they lack the key skills for the position.” This personal approach allows us to better understand each candidate and ensure that they meet not only the technical requirements of the position, but also that they are culturally and personally compatible with the future working environment.

During our recruitment journeys, we conduct a comprehensive evaluation of each applicant, which includes:

  1. Thorough examination of expertise and practical skills,
  2. Assessment of language skills and communication skills.
  3. Evaluation of adaptability and willingness to learn new things.
  4. Exploring motivation to work abroad and long-term career goals.

Results of our recruitment trips so far

Since November 2023, for example, we have made three recruitment trips to India, each with very encouraging results,” says Marek Skička, Key Account Delivery Manager. “During these trips we managed to recruit more than 500 employees who underwent detailed testing,” adds Dominika Kopčáková, Operations Manager.

These figures clearly show the increasing efficiency of our approach and the ability to meet our clients’ demand for skilled labour.

But what is even more important than the numbers themselves is the quality of candidates. Thanks to our thorough selection process and innovative testing methods, we are able to ensure that each of these new employees has the potential to become a valuable member of the future employer’s team.

Recruitment is where it all starts. But there are plenty of stages along the way

At SYNERGIE, we believe that successful recruitment is just the beginning of the journey. That is why we provide comprehensive support that starts abroad and continues even after employees arrive in the Czech Republic or Slovakia. During the time spent sorting out visas, we provide candidates with comprehensive training – not only technical (on mock-ups of the equipment they will work with), but also focusing on adaptation in the new cultural environment. Materials and information packs are also included to help employees better navigate our environment.

What benefits does this recruitment bring to our clients?

  1. Access to a motivated and skilled workforce: Our clients acquire employees who are not only technically proficient, but also highly motivated and ready for new challenges.
  2. Reduced fluctuation risk: Thanks to our thorough selection and comprehensive staff preparation, we significantly reduce the risk of early termination.
  3. Faster and more efficient integration: Thanks to thorough preparation, our employees are able to quickly enter the workforce and achieve full productivity in less time.
  4. Tackling acute shortages: We provide fast and efficient solutions for areas where skill shortages are critical, especially in the automotive and manufacturing sectors.
  5. Competitive advantage: Access to an international talent pool helps our clients stay competitive on a global scale.
  6. Cultural diversity: Foreign employees bring new perspectives and experiences that can enrich corporate culture and stimulate innovation.
